Given that I made a pitch for Bitch magazine a few weeks back, it is only fair that I do the same for Off Our Backs, a feminist news journal that has been in print for thirty-eight years and is struggling to maintain their spot on the magazine rack. You can read about their fundraising efforts here and here. (Extra credit for those who spot the Feminist Review shout out!)While Bitch focuses on pop culture, Off Our Backs has a more explicitly political focus, not to mention a global one. We need them both, y'all. Give what you can, no matter how big or small, and don't stop giving. Feminism is an ongoing and community-based effort.
